Muhimbili National Hospital-Mloganzila in collaboration with African Future Foundation and Global Image Care from South Korea has started a special kidney transplant and vascular repair camp for patients with kidney challenges where the camp will conclude on August 19, 2026.
Speaking about the camp, Dr. Hamis Isaka who is a Senior Urologist from MNH-Mloganzila said a total of four (4) patients will receive kidney transplants and more than 50 patients will undergo vascular repair.
According to Dr. Isaka, the camp is part of the hospital’s efforts to ensure that patients with kidney challenges receive expert and modern services in the country, thus reducing the need for these patients to travel abroad for treatment.
The camp also aims to strengthen professional collaboration between Tanzanian health professionals and their South Korean counterparts in providing specialist services to patients with kidney diseases.
