Arusha: THE new President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) who is also the Speaker of the Australian Parliament, Hon. Milton Dick
has visited the pavilion of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism at the 153rd IPU Assembly and commended the good work of Conservation and Tourism.
At the pavilion, Hon. Dick was received by experts from the Ministry as well as tourism stakeholders and then got a group photo.
Speaking about the presence of such a large number of guests at the Natural Resources and Tourism Pavilion, the Chief Tourism Officer of the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), Ms. Ester Solomon said it was a great honor and an important step to promote itself more internationally.
Ms. Solomon added that the response of the guests of the Assembly to visit the pavilion and the tourist attractions in the country was great.
“The delegates who attended this conference are more than 2,200 and those who visited our attractions are almost all, because there are those who went to the Parks, Museums here in Arusha as well as Cultural places,” said Ms. Solomon.
And the Chairman of the Association of Indigenous Tourism Agents in Tanzania Mr. Samuel Diah, said that they have done a great job of transporting more than 2,000 guests of the Conference to various places of tourist attractions.
Mr. Diah thanked the Government through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism for caring for Tourism stakeholders by creating various opportunities for them, especially to participate in the Conference.
