Muhimbili National Hospital-Mloganzila has continued to provide education to mothers who have given birth on proper breastfeeding, how to increase breast milk production and best breastfeeding techniques, as part of strengthening maternal and child health care.
Chief Nurse for Infants Ms. Jina Simai Mohamed said the education helps mothers breastfeed correctly and help children get enough milk, while emphasizing the importance of reducing stress, breastfeeding regularly and getting enough rest to increase milk production.
The training aimed to build a better foundation for mother and child health, where mothers have been advised to avoid stress, breastfeed their children regularly.
In addition to getting enough rest to support milk production, she noted that the education is part of the hospital’s continuous service in ensuring that mothers and children receive good care after delivery.
