Tanzanians visit our tourist attractions during the Xmass break

The Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji has encouraged Tanzanians to use the end-of-year break by touring the Kitulo National Park, Mpanga Kipengere and other tourist attractions in the country to benefit from the unique heritage with rare attractions in the world.

Dr. Kijaji said when he visited the parks in Njombe Region, with the aim of inspecting conservation activities as an important step to increase the momentum in promoting the tourist attractions in southern Tanzania internationally.

Minister Kijaji said the Ministry is fully organized to serve all tourists well at international standards and make tourists return more than once to benefit from the heritage of the parks in the country.

Minister Kijaji has directed the Tanzania National Parks Agency (TANAPA) and the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) to continue to develop new tourism products, in order to keep up with the rapid increase in the number of tourists entering the country, which is a positive result of the Government under the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in promoting Tanzania internationally.

He has urged TANAPA and TAWA to further open the doors to investors in improving infrastructure within the park, including sports areas, accommodation and roads, while emphasizing the use of youth to promote the beauty and uniqueness of Kitulo Park in attracting tourists.

“Using youth will help in promoting these parks, which are rich in natural attractions and unique in the world, while helping them to find jobs and increase their income”, said Minister Kijaji

The Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Mr. Hamad Hassan Chande, has congratulated the citizens for the good work of conservation and encouraged them to continue collaborating with the Ministry in sustainably conserving existing resources for the broader interests of the Nation and individuals.

During the visit, Dr. Kijaji was also accompanied by the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Nkoba Mabula, as well as other leaders of the Ministry.
