Muhimbili National Hospital – Mloganzila in collaboration with the MediAfric Tanzania Institute has started a special camp to break stones in the urinary tract using modern technology without the patient undergoing surgery.
According to the Specialist Urologist, Dr. Hamis Isaka, the service will be provided for five days from September 29 to October 03, 2025, where more than 12 patients will be served.
“The implementation of these services to remove stones in the urinary tract without surgery is a major step as it demonstrates how the Government has made investments aimed at reducing inconvenience and costs for citizens by ensuring that these services are available in public hospitals in the country, including Mloganzila”, added Dr. Isaka.
Dr. Isaka said that the hospital’s experts will continue to provide quality services to citizens while emphasizing advising the leadership on the establishment of various services that are productive and aimed at reducing the cost of seeking them abroad.
Muhimbili National Hospital – Mloganzila is among the public hospitals in the country that is focused on providing cutting-edge services including kidney transplants by harvesting kidneys from donors using small incisions, hip and knee transplants, lung transplants, weight loss using special balloons and small incision surgery.
