Muhimbili National Hospital-Mloganzila has organized a special hip, knee and shoulder surgery camp to be held from August 24 -29, 2026, using modern minimally invasive surgery technology.
In the camp, the hospital’s specialists will collaborate with a Knee, Shoulder, Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries Specialist from India, Dr. Vinay Tantuway, where the target group is all patients with hip, knee and shoulder challenges who require specialist examination and treatment.
Through minimally invasive surgery technology, patients will receive treatment with minimal injuries, less pain after surgery and a faster recovery, enabling them to return to their daily activities in a short time.
Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon from MNH-Mloganzila, Dr. Joseph Jinasa, said that in addition to small incision surgery services, the hospital will continue to provide other specialist services including knee replacement surgery using artificial knees, hip replacement with artificial hips as well as revision surgery for patients who need to have their previous surgery revised.
He urged citizens with these challenges to arrive at Mloganzila Hospital early to undergo examination and receive appropriate treatment through the camp, which aims to improve health and restore the quality of life of patients using modern services and experienced professionals.
