Azam Club has been fined Tsh. 50 million for the offense of refusing to participate in the awards ceremony for the winners held after the final game of the CRDB Bank Federation Cup (CRDB Bank Federation Cup 2026).
The final match was played on July 04, 2026 in Gombani, Pemba and ended with Simba SC winning 1-0 following an own goal by Azam FC midfielder Yahya Zeyd.
The punishment was given on July 13, 2026 following the meeting of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Competition Committee held in Dar es Salaam where it also banned the goalkeeper coach of Azam FC, Roudy Mountaro for four games and was fined 2,000,000 shillings for the offense of attacking the referee of the game after the match.
In another step, the goalkeeper of Azam FC, Zuberi Foba has been banned for three games and fined 2,000,000 shillings for attacking the referee after the final whistle.
Other actions taken at the meeting were Azam FC Leader Jamal Salum Mohamed (Bui) and Ally Mohamed Shatry (Chico) and an Officer from Simba SC being sent to the TFF Disciplinary Committee for the acts of misconduct they did in the match.
