Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila has said this on different occasions while speaking at special meetings of the Council of Councilors to discuss and approve the report of the Controller and Auditor General of Government Accounts (GAG) for the financial year ending June 30, 2025.
RC Chalamila, in continuation of his visits to participate in CAG Audit Committee meetings starting with the Dar es Salaam City Council yesterday July 2, 2026 and today the Ubungo and Kinondoni Municipal Councils, has commended the good work being done and led to obtaining clean bills in succession.
He has therefore sought to answer the few remaining questions and plan well so that the next audit will have few or no questions at all, where he has directed to make good use of internal auditors before external auditors arrive to conduct the audit.
In addition, the Regional Commissioner has urged all Councils in the Region to continue to identify new sources of revenue, increase the speed of revenue collection and the effective use of that revenue that will benefit the people.
On the part of the Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr. Abdul Mhinte, he has advised the Councils to continue to organize themselves well to ensure that there are no arguments and not to organize themselves to respond to the CAG’s arguments.
