President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has sworn in Mr. Mansura Mosi Kassim to be Secretary of the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, following his recent appointment.
The swearing-in ceremony was held on June 25, 2026, at the Zanzibar Palace and was attended by the Second Vice President of Zanzibar, Hon. Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, Attorney General of Zanzibar, Dr. Mwinyitalib Haji, Grand Mufti of Zanzibar, Sheikh Saleh Omar Kaabi; various leaders of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Heads of Defense and Security Agencies, religious leaders and family members of the Chief Secretary.
Ndg. Mansura Mosi Kassim becomes the second woman to hold the post since its establishment, preceded by Ambassador Engineer Zena Ahmed Said, who is currently the Ambassador of Tanzania in Saudi Arabia.
Before the appointment, held on June 22 2026, Mr. Mansura Mosi Kassim was the Secretary General of the Office of the President, Constitution, Law, Service and Good Governance.
