Speaking on June 19, 2026, in the ongoing Public Service Week Exhibition in Chinangali Park in Dodoma, the Mines Inspection Officer of the Mining Commission, Mrs. Rose Mika said that the regular inspection that takes place in large, medium and small mines aims to ensure that mining activities are carried out in accordance with the Mining Law as well as the Safety, Health and Environmental Care Regulations of 2010.
He said that the inspection helps to identify in advance the challenges that may endanger the safety of workers and citizens living in the vicinity of the mining areas, thus enabling appropriate measures to be taken before harm occurs.
