Tanzania has continued to open the doors to investment by showcasing various existing opportunities, especially in the industrial sector with the aim of increasing production and employment in the country.
A move aimed at attracting international investors and strengthening the national economy.
In furtherance of these efforts, the Director General of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), Mr. Gilead Teri, has encouraged investors from Belarus to seize the opportunities available in the country.
He said this when he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov, who visited the Benjamin Mkapa Special Economic Zone managed by TISEZA, on April 29, 2026, in Dar es Salaam.
Mr. Teri explained that Tanzania, through TISEZA, is fully committed to facilitating trade and investment by improving the investment environment as well as simplifying procedures for local and foreign investors.
Stressing the existence of many opportunities in the industrial sector, including access to industrial land.
Mr. Ryzhenkov expressed his admiration for the investment climate in the country and commended the Government for its efforts to improve infrastructure and business systems.
Stressing that Belarus is ready to strengthen cooperation with Tanzania in the industrial, trade and investment sectors for the benefit of both parties.
During the visit, Mr. Ryzhenkov visited the Tooku jeans factory and witnessed the production process of garments for the export market, accompanied by the Tanzanian Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Fredrick Kibuta, and the Belarusian Ambassador to the country, Mr. Dzmitry Krasouski.
