Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila on April 24, 2026 opened a new branch of Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB) at the East African Commercial and Investment Center (EACLC) located at the old Ubungo bus station.
Speaking at the opening of the Bank, Mr. Chalamila commended the Bank for its significant investment, especially in Dar es Salaam Region, urging the leadership to properly translate the vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to facilitate credit opportunities that will reach the citizens at large.

Mr. Chalamila has reviewed the huge investment made by the Government in partnership to build the EACLC commercial center in the Ubungo area where he has promised to put in place strategies to increase the circulation of people at all times which will encourage the center to perform better.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Adam Mihayo said the Bank has approximately 82 branches nationwide, in Dar es Salaam Region alone there are 20 branches and five others are in the final stages of opening.
