The purpose of the leaders’ reconciliation is to unite the people

The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Alhaj Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has said that the purpose of the leaders to achieve reconciliation at the national level is to unite the people, strengthen their unity and enable them to cooperate in bringing about the development of the country.

President Dr. Mwinyi said this, on July 10, 2026, when he joined Muslim believers in the Friday Prayer and the opening of the Abrar Mosque, located in Fuoni Kibondeni, Mjini Magharibi Region.

He said that in order to achieve these goals, the people should forget the past, forgive each other, completely abandon the existing differences and move forward together for development in various fields.

President Dr. Mwinyi has emphasized that unity, solidarity, peace and understanding within the community are important foundations that enable the Government to plan and implement projects as well as various development plans. Therefore, he has urged the people to continue to support the Government’s efforts in bringing about development.

Speaking at the opening of the mosque, President Dr. Mwinyi encouraged Muslim believers to use mosques as a place of worship, education and discussion on the challenges facing society, in order to provide them with lasting solutions. He mentioned some of these challenges as drug use, theft, looting, robbery and corruption among public servants.

In addition, President Dr. Mwinyi called on the community to continue to help orphans, widows, people with disabilities and other groups with special needs.

He also urged believers to focus on providing young people with religious education and upbringing that takes into account good morals, in order to create a generation that fears Allah and is capable of being good citizens and useful to their country.

Concluding his speech, President Dr. Mwinyi commended the Al Hilal Islamic Center for building the mosque and urged believers to maintain and maintain its cleanliness at all times, so that it has a good environment for worship.

He has also advised believers to put in place a special procedure to help imams, madrasa teachers and other people who serve mosques, so that they can meet their daily needs due to the large amount of time they spend in serving believers and managing mosque activities.

Meanwhile, the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has visited and inquired about the condition of the CCM Chairman of the Western Region, Ndg. Muhammed Rajab Soud, who was admitted to the Western Urban Regional Referral Hospital, Lumumba.
