The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Hon Albert Chalamila has visited the 50th International Trade Fair in Dar es Salaam Sabasaba and encouraged citizens to continue visiting the Fair to obtain various services and products, saying that the fair provides an opportunity to learn new technologies, access government and private sector services and buy products at affordable prices, while expressing his intention to extend the duration of the fair.
Speaking at the grounds of the 50th International Trade Fair in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Chalamila said that due to the great response of the citizens, the Region is considering the possibility of increasing the days of the fair so that more people can benefit, while calling on citizens to continue to come forward.
Mr. Chalamila said that the fair has reached 50 years since its inception this year, there are about 25 countries that have participated, so it is important for citizens to use it as an opportunity to obtain various goods and services, where he emphasized that many products are available at discounted prices.
Mr. Chalamila spoke about the free eye care services available at the fairgrounds as well as various legal services including land issues, urging citizens to use the fair as a great opportunity
The Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander, SACP Muliro Jumanne, said the security situation in the city is stable, with citizens continuing to come out in large numbers to visit the fair, saying that security and defense agencies are continuing to work to ensure the security of citizens and their property is enhanced throughout the fair.
Some citizens who visited the fair said that this year’s fair has seen significant improvements, including an increase in Government services, various products at fair prices, and health, education and consulting services that enable them to solve various challenges in one area.
