Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Hon. Albert Chalamila at different times on July 6, 2026 while at the special meetings of the council to discuss and approve the report of the controller and auditor general of the Government accounts (CAG) for the fiscal year ending June 30 2025 in the Municipal Council of Kigamboni and Temeke said “The councils want clean documents and the expectations of the people is to see the best services are provided in their areas such as roads, electricity, water and others similar to them.
RC Chalamila has asked the Regional Councils to provide answers to all the points identified by the CAG and also to close all the instructions of the LAAC.
He has also insisted on implementing “Vissible” projects and being innovative in various fields, including sources of income and the implementation of projects.
At the same time, RC Chalamila has said that people should be encouraged to use the opportunities of the Sabasaba 2026 exhibition while assuring the people of protection and security because the security agencies are very careful while saying that the issue of protecting peace especially in Dar es Salaam is “very serious” there is no joke about it because there is a big investment here.
On the part of the representative of CAG, Mr Nestory Karia, he said that getting a clean document is one step, but there is still the importance of organizing more so that there are no CAG arguments, as well as internal auditors being used well in the Council, it will help a lot to prevent unnecessary arguments.
