The Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, has said that the presence of Karema Port in Tanganyika District, Katavi Region will help boost the economy of our country because it is a strategic area.
The Prime Minister said this during his working visit in March 2026 when he visited and laid the foundation stone for the construction of the 112-kilometer Mpanda Karema road.
The Prime Minister also spoke again about the importance of the road and the port at a public meeting held in Mpanda Town.
