The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has called on the Leaders of the Internal Revenue Service Administration System (IDRAS) to continue providing close support to taxpayers and staff to ensure that the system achieves its intended goals in improving the delivery of tax services in the country.
The call was made on May 12, 2026 in Morogoro region by the Director of the Risk and Monitoring Department of TRA, Ms. Annette Magogo, while opening a Seminar on the evaluation of the use of the system since it was officially launched in February this year.
Ms. Annette said the leaders have made a significant contribution to ensuring that TRA has a robust digital system that facilitates the delivery of services to taxpayers faster and more efficiently.
He said the task force of TRA representatives has been providing professional support to taxpayers to enable them to use the system easily, in parallel with building the capacity of staff in serving taxpayers and the public in general.
“We have gathered here to discuss the achievements made since the system went live in February this year, as well as to look at the best way to ensure the system achieves its set goals and brings productivity to the nation”, said Ms. Annette.
The workshop aimed to identify challenges that arose in the implementation of the system so that experts can discuss the best ways to resolve them as well as to obtain feedback from taxpayers.
