President Ruto arrives in Tanzania, addresses Parliament

The President of the Republic of Kenya, Hon. William Samoei Ruto has arrived in Dodoma on May 5, 2026 to continue his two-day state visit to the country.

Hon. President William Ruto, upon his arrival at the Dodoma Airport, was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo and various Government Leaders including the Regional Commissioner, Hon. Rosemary Senyamule.

While in Dodoma, Hon. President William Ruto will address the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania, marking the first time for the President to address the Parliament and his second visit to Dodoma after his visit in 2022.

Furthermore, after the function at Parliament, Hon. President William Ruto will proceed to the State House in Chamwino where he will be received by his host, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

While at State House, Chamwino, among other things, Hon. President William Ruto will bid farewell to his host, Hon. President Samia Suluhu Hassan, along with Tanzanian Government Leaders before departing Dodoma to return to his country.
