The President of the Republic of Rwanda, Mr. Paul Kagame has arrived in the country for a one-day Working Visit aimed at strengthening relations between Tanzania and Rwanda.
Mr. President Kagame is expected to meet and hold talks with his host, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, at the State House in Dar es Salaam.
It is hoped that this Visit will maintain the good and historic relations between the two neighbors.
This cooperation has further strengthened in recent years through the Joint Permanent Commission (JPC), where Tanzania has continued to be among Rwanda’s three largest trading partners in the world, with the volume of trade between these countries increasing every year.
Furthermore, in terms of investment, from 1990 to March 2026, Tanzania has registered 42 investment projects from Rwanda worth US$325.53 million and created 2,225 jobs in various sectors including manufacturing, transportation, financial services, natural resources and tourism.
Similarly, Tanzanian investors have also invested in Rwanda through various companies including Bakhresa Group, Magodoro Dodoma, Discount Center, Jambo Plastic, Sagar Enterprises, Buffalo Travelling Tours, Maxcom Africa, Gasabo Grain Milling Company, LCM Delta Company and Metrex Integrated Consultancy.
