Students of Faraja Seminary secondary school have visited the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Kilimanjaro with the aim of learning about tax issues and its benefits in national development.
The training visit was held on April 24, 2026 which aimed to build a broader understanding among the students about their responsibilities as future taxpayers in the country.
Speaking during the training, TRA Business Facilitation Officer, Mr. Salehe Mayange said that providing tax education to students is to build a society based on accountability in the nation.
During the training, the students had the opportunity to gain knowledge about the effects of smuggling on society, the benefits of tax payment as well as taxes arising from excise and customs duties.
The teacher who accompanied the students, Mr. Riziki Yowezel thanked TRA and said that the education they received in practice will give them a broader understanding and become good tax ambassadors in the future.
