The Secretary General of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi has received leaders of the ACT Wazaleno and Chadema parties during his visit to the Ruvuma region.
Speaking to a large crowd of Namtumbo residents, at a public meeting held at the Namtumbo Primary School Grounds, April 3, 2025, Dr. Nchimbi said he had invited them to come home where there is development and Democracy.
At the meeting, leaders of the ACT Wazalendo and Chadema parties, leading many members, decided to return their cards and other party equipment, and then joined CCM.
The leaders were led by Mr. Alifa Jafa, Chairman of Chadema in Songea District, Mr. Mohamed Said Ndauka, Chairman of the Ntungwe Local Government, Mr. Azarius Lucas Ngonyani and Chairman of the Miembeni Local Government.
They said they decided to move to CCM because they see the leadership of the CCM Chairman and President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan and the appointment of Ambassador Nchimbi as a running mate for the Presidency, in the General Election to be held in October 2025, has attracted them to move to CCM.
Another interesting thing is how Dr. Samia is working as she touches on all social areas and mentions some as building schools, hospitals and health centers as well as roads.
