Dar es Salaam: Tanga Regional Commissioner, Hon. Ambassador Dr. Batilda Burian has commended the Chief Executive of the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) Engineer Victor Seff for the good management of the construction of the Lushoto District road, saying the project has shown a high level of quality recognized by the Uhuru Torch Relay.
Hon. Ambassador Dr. Batilda made the commendations when she visited the Joint Pavilion of the Prime Minister’s Office and its Institutions at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), where she was briefed on the various activities and achievements of TARURA.
Speaking after receiving the briefing, the Regional Commissioner said that her message of gratitude and congratulations should be conveyed to the Chief Executive of TARURA for the implementation of the Lushoto road project visited by the Uhuru Torch Relay this year.
He said that after the Uhuru Torch inspected and assessed the road, the Torch leaders were satisfied with the quality of the work done.
“After the Torch tested the road, they were satisfied with its quality and took a sample of the asphalt (core) to take with them as an example of the quality of road construction,” he said
He explained that these achievements show the importance of effective management, expertise and adherence to standards in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the country.
