The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Hon. Salah Ahmed Jama and his delegation on June 18, 2026, at the Sarova Whitesands Hotel, in Mombasa, Kenya.
During the talks, President Dr. Mwinyi said Tanzania will continue to strengthen friendly relations with Somalia in various fields, including the Blue Economy, as well as exchanging experiences in the sustainable use of marine resources.
For his part, Hon. Salah Ahmed Jama said Somalia will continue to maintain its historic relationship with Tanzania through cooperation in the Blue Economy, education and trade sectors.
