Makete District Commissioner, His Excellency Kissa Gwakisa Kasongwa, has visited Makete District Hospital with the aim of observing the service delivery and getting to know the condition of patients who are receiving treatment at the hospital.
During the visit, His Excellency Kasongwa had the opportunity to visit some of the wards and talk to patients and relatives who were serving them.
He used the opportunity to encourage the patients and encourage them to continue to be optimistic while receiving medical services from health professionals.
Speaking to the hospital staff, the District Commissioner commended the doctors, nurses and all health workers for their ongoing efforts in ensuring that citizens receive quality services.
He explained that the environment he found at the hospital shows a good level of service management and care for the well-being of patients.
His Excellency Kasongwa said that the service delivery environment at Makete District Hospital is friendly and safe for patients, which contributes to increasing citizens’ confidence in the health sector.
In addition, he encouraged the staff to continue to maintain professionalism, ethics and a spirit of dedication in their daily work.
Makete District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Logebert Kalisa expressed his delight at the visit of the District Commissioner, saying that the move has increased enthusiasm and shown how leaders continue to monitor the welfare of citizens as well as the quality of services provided in health facilities.
The visit concluded with greetings of comfort and hope for all patients admitted to the hospital.
