The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) is offering an opportunity for innovative Tanzanians to participate in the second season of submitting innovative ideas that will help improve tax services, simplify TRA’s service delivery systems and increase the tax base in the country.
Tanzanians are encouraged to submit their ideas through the Authority’s website in the Innovation section where the deadline for submitting ideas is July 31, 2026.
The 1,000 ideas that reach the Evaluation Committee will be awarded 100,000 shillings for each idea.
Of these, 20 winning ideas will receive grand prizes where the first winner will be awarded 50,000,000 shillings, the second and third winners 30,000,000 shillings each.
Fourth and fifth place will receive 20,000,000 shillings each, while sixth to twentieth place (6th–20th) will receive 10,000,000 shillings each.
In total, a total of 1,020 winners are expected to benefit from the program which aims to identify and improve better ways to collect taxes.
