📍 Dodoma: Mining Commission employees have been urged to focus on professionalism, accountability and solidarity in the implementation of their duties in order to continue the Commission’s achievements as well as increase the contribution of the mining sector to national economic growth.
Speaking on May 01, 2026 during the International Workers’ Day (May Day) celebrations held regionally at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma, the Director of Human Resources and Administration of the Mining Commission, Mr. Nsajigwa Kabigi said the achievements made should be protected by increasing diligence, discipline and accountability at work.
Kabigi said the Executive Secretary of the Mining Commission, Engineer Ramadhani Lwamo, has congratulated all Commission employees present in Dodoma, those who participated in the national celebrations in Njombe region as well as employees present in various mining regions in the country for their efforts in carrying out their work duties.
“We are committed to continuing to maintain solidarity, love and work hard to continue to place the Mining Commission in a high performance position”, said Engineer Kabigi
He said the Mining Commission has continued to perform well in the implementation of its responsibilities, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of every employee to ensure that the institution continues to be a leader in the collection of Government revenue from the mining sector.
He said employers will continue to protect the rights of workers in the workplace, while emphasizing that employees should carry out their duties with professionalism, integrity and diligence to achieve the goals of the mining sector and stimulate national economic growth.
During the May Day celebrations in Dodoma region, the workers’ protest began at the Parliament Grounds and concluded at the Jamhuri Grounds, where they were officially received by the Dodoma Regional Commissioner, Mrs. Rosemary Senyamule.
