The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has assured the Zanzibar Bar Association that the Government appreciates and supports the good work being done by the institution in assisting citizens in legal matters.
President Dr. Mwinyi said this on April 09, 2026 when he met with the leadership of the Zanzibar Bar Association led by the President of the association, Advocate Joseph Shaban Magazi, who arrived at the State House, Zanzibar.
However, he has advised the leadership of the association to find a permanent solution to the problem of law degree students who are unable to continue their studies.
President Dr. Mwinyi has commended the decision of the East African Bar Association to hold its annual general meeting in Zanzibar and that the Government in collaboration with stakeholders will support the success of the meeting.
The President of the Zanzibar Bar Association, Mr. Joseph Shaban Magazi, has commended President Dr. Mwinyi for his leadership and efforts in opening up Zanzibar and making it an excellent investment center for East and Central African countries.
President Dr. Mwinyi also used the opportunity to present a vehicle to the institution, which requested it during the recent Law Day celebrations for the implementation of its responsibilities.
