Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner opens training, offers condolences for the effects of October 29, 2025

Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila on December 11, 2025, opened training for members of the Staff Council of the Regional Commissioner’s Office which was held at the Kinondoni Municipality Hall.

Mr. Chalamila, opening the training, said that the body or the Staff Council is important in the functioning of the Government and its Institutions, the presence of these councils is the implementation of the Employment and Labor Relations Act No. 6 of 2007, Chapter 366 and the Public Service Act, Chapter 298, as well as the Standing Orders in the Public Service, Third Edition of 2009.

“The Council is a communication tool and an important link between management and employees, so through this training you will learn various issues including the duties and responsibilities of the Staff Council”, said Mr. Chalamila.

Mr. Chalamila has expressed his condolences to all employees following the consequences of the breach of peace on October 29, 2025, where he has called on employees to be good ambassadors of peace and has also urged them to continue working with professionalism, integrity and honesty.

The Secretary of TUGHE, Ms. Sara Rwezaura Region, said that through staff councils, it helps to solve various challenges of employees and make employees enjoy their service, where she has commended the RAS DSM Office for conducting the training and urged various institutions to emulate that example.

She has also urged employees who are beneficiaries of the training to use the opportunity to monitor and consider the training that will be provided as it will be a resource or tool for effective work performance.
