CCM National Executive Committee Member and Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa on September 07, 2025 launched the parliamentary campaigns in Mchinga constituency held in Rutamba village in Lindi region.
Speaking during the launch, Mr. Majaliwa said CCM’s election manifesto for the year 2025/2030 has focused on continuing to implement various development projects across the country including in Mchinga constituency.
“In the past period, President Dr. Samia has brought here large, medium and small projects, he is doing this by recognizing that the citizens should serve, even this manifesto has shown other areas that will be implemented in this Lindi region”, he said
He said the people of Lindi should elect, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan to continue implementing gas projects, Kilwa fishing port, reconstruction of the Dar-Lindi road, improvements to the Lindi airport, construction of the southern railway as well as connecting the Lindi region to the National grid to have reliable electricity.
He said, President Dr. Samia has brought billions of dollars for the implementation of various development projects in the Lindi region, this manifesto has continued to be loaded with projects that are going to be implemented in our areas, this is the only reason we elected him, President Dr. Samia.
“The 2025/2030 election manifesto has indicated that the construction of the Ngongo to Ng’apa, Mandawa to Chikundi road will begin, this road will be a lifesaver for the residents of these areas and will open up the economy for the people of Lindi”, he said.
Mr. Majaliwa said that over the past five years, the Constituency has succeeded in having four ambulances as well as the construction of health centers and dispensaries which has greatly helped improve health services in the constituency.
“Mr. Salma Kikwete has focused on serving the people, in the way this constituency has been, it needs a capable person with a sincere commitment to serving its citizens, indeed Mr. Salma has shown that he can, elect him again”, he said
The parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Mrs. Salma Kikwete said that during his term he has succeeded in collaborating with the people of Mchinga to find solutions to the challenges facing the constituency.
“We have achieved great success in addressing our challenges, the situation today is not the same as where we came from, we have achieved success in various sectors including health, energy, education, water, infrastructure and economic empowerment of the people, if I get approval again we will do even greater things”, said Mrs. Kikwete.
He said that over the past five years he has successfully implemented the Ng’apa water project which will enable it to reach many villages in Mchinga constituency.
“If that is not enough, we have succeeded in building dispensaries, we will increase efforts to build health care centers”, said Mrs. Kikwete
Retired President of the Fourth Phase, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has said that President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has shown that she is sufficient in the position of President because in a short period she has done a lot of things, let’s give her a chance to continue”, said Dr. Kikwete
She got the Presidency at a time she did not expect, but she has done a good job, we will benefit twice, if we give her a chance, I have looked at the list of things in the manifesto, she has indeed planned.
“Speaking on behalf of the parliamentary candidates in Lindi region, Mtama parliamentary candidate, Nape Nnauye said the people of the south will elect her, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan due to the great work she has done in the region including the provision of input subsidies for crops.
