PRIMARY MINISTER, Kassim Majaliwa has said Tanzania is built on solid foundations of peace, patriotism and good morals that have been established by the leaders of the Nation.
He said that religious leaders have always been at the forefront in collaborating with the Government to promote peace, denounce evil and indiscipline in society in order to build a generation with respect, solidarity and patriotism for the Nation.
He said on September 05, 2025 when he represented, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the National Maulid Council held in Korogwe District in Tanga Region that it was an event that carried spiritual guidance for all mankind.
“The life of the Prophet sets an example and teaches us to be righteous, live ethically, and rely on Allah. in everything”, said the Prime Minister.
Mufti and Grand Sheikh of Tanzania Sheikh Dr. Abubakar Zubeir bin Ali has called on Sheikhs in the country to continue preaching peace in their areas because peace is not a matter of choice so everyone should manage their presence.
“Teach believers in your platforms so that our country continues to have peace, condemn all acts that are signs of peace violations”, he said
Reciting the Council’s greetings at the Maulid Council celebrations, BAKWATA Secretary General Alhaj Nuhu Jabir Mruma said peace and tranquility are the main criteria for development because without peace there is no worship, no life or any development.
“The great state of development we have and that is flourishing today in our country is based on peace. We all Tanzanians must honor the TUNU of peace that God has bestowed upon us. Through this platform we urge Muslims and citizens in general to adhere to the principles of peace and tranquility throughout the 2025 general election process”, he said
