Muhimbili National Hospital-Mloganzila has awarded certificates to participants who completed the Exercise Physiology training, which was held at the hospital from July 1 to 31, 2026, with the next phase expected to be held from November 1 to 30, 2026.
Speaking during the event, which was held on July 31, 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Deputy Executive Director of Muhimbili National Hospital, Dr. Julieth Magandi said the training is part of the hospital’s efforts to enhance the knowledge of professionals and stakeholders in the health sector on the proper use of exercise in prevention, treatment and health promotion.
The training brought together participants from Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, including gym instructors as well as experts from various health institutions.
Participants received theoretical and practical training on how the body works during exercise, methods for preparing safe exercise programs according to a person’s age and health status.
On behalf of the graduates, Mr. David Nyoni said the training has increased their knowledge and skills in important aspects to consider before starting exercise programs, knowing dangerous symptoms during exercise, emergency rescue as well as the use of exercise in disease prevention and control.
