TRA Commissioner General meets NBC CEO

The Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Yusuph Juma Mwenda has met and held talks with the CEO of the National Bank of Commerce (NBC), Mr. Theobald Sabi and assured him that TRA will fully participate in the NBC Marathon to be held on July 26, 2026 in Dodoma.

During the talks held at the TRA offices in Dar es Salaam and the NBC CEO handed over equipment for the race to the TRA Commissioner General, the Commissioner General said that TRA will participate in the race to encourage voluntary tax payment and contribute to medical treatment for citizens as is the goal of the race.

He said that TRA cares about the health of taxpayers so participating in the race is their responsibility to ensure that the community is always healthy and participate in building the country while mentioning NBC as major stakeholders of TRA in terms of Tax issues.

NBC CEO, Mr. Theobald Sabi has thanked TRA for being among the sponsors who contributed to the NBC Marathon which is being held with the aim of collecting funds to support medical treatment for various groups with health challenges through different hospitals including Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma.

He said they have decided to hand over the equipment to participate in the race to the TRA Commissioner General in recognition of the importance of the institution in health issues and national development in general.

He mentioned some of the areas where the funds raised from the Marathon will be directed as Treatment for Heart Patients, Sickle Cell Diseases as well as the Maternal and Child Health Area.
