The wife of the President of Zanzibar, Chairperson and Trustee of the Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation, Mama Mariam Mwinyi, has said that the institution will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders in strengthening social welfare, empowering young people and women and developing productive development projects for the people.
Mama Mariam Mwinyi said this on June 10, 2026 when she had a conversation with the First Lady of the Republic of Singapore, Hon. Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam, who visited the offices of the Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation located in Migomban, Western Region.
He said that the institution continues to implement its plans successfully due to the support of the communities it serves, its stakeholders and partners who have had a great contribution in the implementation of various development projects that affect the lives of citizens in various areas.
Mama Mariam Mwinyi said cooperation between the institution and development stakeholders is important in achieving the agenda of empowering girls, youth and women, strengthening mental health, promoting gender equality and increasing employment opportunities.
Mama Mariam Mwinyi has thanked the First Lady of the Republic of Singapore, Mrs. Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam for visiting the institute and having the opportunity to see for himself the various activities that are carried out with the aim of helping and empowering the people of Zanzibar.
