The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has urged Muslim believers to continue all the good things they were doing during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
President, Dr. Mwinyi said this on March 20, 2026, when he joined Muslim believers in the Friday Prayer service held at the Maisara Friday Mosque, Mjini Magharibi Region.
He said the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan should not be a reason for people to return to evil and displeasing deeds to Allah, but rather an opportunity to continue worship and good morals.
Alhaj Dr. Mwinyi has used the opportunity to express his condolences to the believers of the mosque following the death of their Imam, Sheikh Saleh Ameir, who died on March 19, 2026.
President Dr. Mwinyi has wished Muslim believers all the best and happiness in celebrating the Eid el-Fitr holiday, tomorrow after the completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
