Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Rukwa Region, through the Business Facilitation Desk led by the Chief Internal Affairs Officer, Mr. Audax Mwangila, has visited VETA Sumbawanga College with the aim of providing education about the importance of the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) as well as helping to register students who have not yet obtained a TIN.
In the exercise, students were educated on the use and importance of TIN in various economic and legal activities, including simplifying the identification of taxpayers in tax systems.
The education was provided by Khalfan Hilali, Tax Administration Officer, also Mr. Audax Mwangila led the TIN registration exercise for unregistered students, as part of TRA’s efforts to raise awareness of tax issues among young people and build a culture of compliance with tax laws from the early stages of their working and business lives.
