Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila March 17, 2026 participated in the Iftar with special groups organized by the non-governmental organization Ikhsan Aid Network with the sponsorship of GSM and State Oil.
The event which was held in Msasani Tower, Kinondoni District in the city where he asked the citizens to continue to cooperate and strengthen solidarity regardless of religious differences.
Speaking during the Iftar event in Dar es Salaam which brought together people with vision problems and children from orphanages, RC Chalamila said it is important for Tanzanians to continue to stick together, love each other and live in peace and cooperation, not only during the month of Ramadhan but at all times.
RC Chalamila said events like Iftar have a great chance to bring together people of different religions and build understanding, which contributes to maintaining the peace and stability of the country.
“It is important to develop a culture of loving and helping each other regardless of our religion, because we are all Tanzanians,” said Chalamila.
The event was attended by religious leaders, various stakeholders and citizens as part of strengthening relations and social cohesion, especially to help those in need.
