The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has awarded 9 innovation awards to winners who came up with the best ideas that will help continue to improve tax services and increase the tax base.
Presenting the awards, certificates and cheques to the winners on February 25, 2026, the Minister of Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar, commended TRA for coming up with the awards that will increase the proximity and participation of citizens in tax collection issues.
The overall winner of the awards is Mr. Gabriel Mashenene who has been awarded a cheque of 50 million shillings, three winners have been awarded 30 million shillings each while 5 winners have been awarded 20 million shillings each.
