Dodoma: The Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji has said that the goal of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, is to ensure that Tanzanians benefit more from their resources, so the Ministry he leads will continue to collaborate with stakeholders in the management of the heritage of Natural Resources and Tourism to achieve that goal.
Dr. Kijaji said in Dodoma yesterday at his meeting with stakeholders of Indigenous Hunting and Wildlife Hunting with the aim of gaining a common understanding of these sectors that are important to the country’s economy and the people in general.
He said that the Government under the President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is shoulder to shoulder with stakeholders in the private sector, so the leadership of the Ministry will not allow any servant to hinder these efforts to continue to bring smiles to Tanzanians by raising them economically through the Natural Resources and Tourism sectors.
While commending the stakeholders for their patriotism, he urged them to continue to work with the Ministry which has made a significant contribution to the country’s and individual’s economy to open up more investment and employment opportunities especially for the youth.
Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Mr. Nkoba Mabula, who is responsible for Tourism, assured the stakeholders that his office will fully oversee the implementation of all the instructions given by Dr. Kijaji which are based on the various visions they provided.
