OWM-RALG forms a commission to address existing concerns at Magufuli bus station

The Deputy Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, TAMISEMI, Mr. Reuben Kwagilwa has asked the Secretary General of the ministry to form a special team of experts to address existing challenges at the Magufuli Bus Station so that it is productive for citizens, traders, the Government and other stakeholders.

He gave these instructions on December 23, 2025 when he visited on behalf of the Minister of TAMISEMI at the Magufuli Bus Station located in Mbezi Luis, Ubungo District, Dar es Salaam, where he said that among the issues to be monitored are the income and expenditure of the station, the concerns of citizens, small traders and other stakeholders.

He said that the team should include experts from the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner’s office and other stakeholders, with the aim of ensuring that the Government’s plans to spend a lot of money to build the Magufuli Bus Station are fulfilled.

Speaking on the issue of 10% loans for young women and people with disabilities, which is among the things complained about by the people of the area, Mr. Kwagilwa has raised doubts among the people that the President, Dr. Samia has given instructions so that they will receive the loans.

The Deputy Minister for TAMISEMI told the Ubungo District Commissioner, Advocate Albert Msando that the District is stable and the people are continuing with their activities.

Some citizens and various stakeholders have complained about the issue of buses from the regions and neighboring countries not parking at the station while also complaining about the delay in the council loans.

The Deputy Minister for RALGM, Mr. Reuben Kwagilwa has visited the construction of the bridge and road that is underway at the Goba border from Mkorea to Madale and asked the contractor to increase the speed of construction so that the construction is not affected by rain.
