The Presidential candidate of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Revolutionary Party CCM, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, expects to hold campaign meetings in Dar es Salaam from October 21 to October 23 this year in preparation for the Presidential, Parliamentary and Councillor General Elections expected to be held on October 29, 2025.
Speaking about the arrival of the candidate who is the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Chalamila said the candidate expects to campaign at Leaders Club grounds, TANESCO – Temeke grounds and Kinyerezi grounds in the city, so he has urged citizens to come out to listen to the candidate’s policies.
Mr. Chalamila has assured the citizens of the Region that it is safe and will continue to be safe throughout the campaign period, during the general election and after the election, so he has urged citizens to participate in all election activities and volunteer to vote on October 29 without fear of any kind of threats.
However, Mr. Chalamila has discussed the challenges of water shortage in the region where he has raised doubts among the citizens that the steps taken by the Government at present are going to find a permanent solution to the challenge.
He said that so far the efforts they have made are to purchase new water pumping machines and he also talked about the Kidunda Dam which will completely end the water challenge in the Region.
Mr. Chalamila said the issue of electricity availability in the region has improved and that the Government is continuing the process of addressing the challenge of flooding by building the Jangwani, Kigogo and Mkwajuni bridges and the Geti Jeusi and Nguva bridges in Kigamboni.
However, Mr. Chalamila has discussed the improvement of Mwendokasi transport in the city which the Government has now decided to work with the private sector where it has banned Daladala, Bajaji and Bodaboda from passing through the Mwendolasi route to allow the transport to achieve its intended goal of becoming a fast transport.
