Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila continues with a special championship camp to repair and repair blood vessels for patients with kidney challenges, a camp that goes hand in hand with kidney transplantation for patients with such challenges.
According to the Chief Surgeon, Dr. Daudi Katwana, the camp is being conducted by experts from the hospital in collaboration with a panel of experts from South Korea led by the Chief Surgeon, Dr. Park Kwan Tae under the coordination of the Africa Future Foundation (AFF) in Korea.
“We started this camp on October 11, 2025, where so far we have succeeded in repairing and repairing blood vessels for about 10 patients, the exercise has gone well and we will continue until October 14, 2025”, said Dr. Katwana
Dr. Katwana said the services are sustainable and they are ready to continue serving patients who come forward even after the camp is over, so they should not hesitate to come to the hospital to benefit from these services.
Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila is the only hospital in the country that offers the latest in kidney transplant surgery by harvesting a kidney from a donor using small incisions (Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomy), a service that reduces the donor’s hospital stay, does not have major scars and recovers quickly.
