Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila has received medical equipment assistance from the Korea Foundation for Healthcare (KOFIH) of South Korea worth 71 million shillings.
Speaking while receiving the assistance, Assistant Director of Surgical Services Dr. Godlove Mfuko said the equipment received includes equipment used to monitor patient behavior (patient monitors) and equipment to care for patients who need special care.
Dr. Mfuko said the assistance will help continue to improve the provision of services to patients by reducing the shortage of medical equipment because in addition to the assistance, the hospital has been provided with spare parts (accessories) for repairing patient monitoring machines.
KOFIH representative, Hansol Park said the assistance was provided following a request made by the Tanzanian Ambassador to South Korea Hon. Togolani Mavura to the institution, who specifically requested that it be provided to Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila.
Muhimbili National Hospital Upanga and Mloganzila has had a long-standing partnership with institutions from South Korea, especially KOFIH, through which the hospital has benefited from obtaining medical equipment, capacity-building of experts locally and abroad, obtaining ambulances and research facilities.
