TARURA continues to share experiences with the transport sector

Arusha: The Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) continues to participate in training aimed at strengthening project contract management to reduce project costs and delays.

The five-day training, which brought together key stakeholders in the Road Infrastructure Construction and Transport Sector and other areas, aims to share experiences in this sector that is important for the country’s economic and social development.

TARURA’s Director of Roads, Engineer Venant Komba, presented a presentation on how TARURA carries out its responsibilities, strategies used in project management, technologies used in road construction and challenges in project implementation, especially the contract aspect, as part of providing the Agency’s experience in this important area.

Speaking during the presentation, Engineer Komba said that one of the priorities they have as an institution is to build capacity for their professionals, especially in contract management issues, to avoid challenges during project implementation.

“We use such opportunities as an opportunity to continue learning from our colleagues,” he said.

The training was organized by the Tanzania Roads Association (TARA) in collaboration with consulting engineers from within and outside the country.
