Muhimbili-Mloganzila National Hospital has undergone 78 blood vessels surgery and at the same time transplants 19 patients.
With the treatment of the Champions and Bobezi Hospital Mlonganzila has set a record for the first hospital in the country to perform blood vessels surgery at the same time, providing the treatment for 41 patients thus reached the number of 78 patients who have been treated since it was first released in 2023 at the hospital.
The CEO of Muhimbili National Hospital, Dr. Delillah Kimambo said the treatment took place at a special three -day camp held in collaboration with experts from South Korea and local experts.
He said the camp has coincided with the kidney transplant service where four patients have benefited from the treatment and reached the number of 19 patients who have been transplanted since the service was first released from hospital in 2023.
Dr. Kimambo Muhimbili-Mloganzila is the only hospital that uses kidney harvesting technology from a donor (Hand Assisted Donor Nephrectomy), a technology that has become a friendly to contributors as they stay short-lived and return to their responsibilities quickly.
