The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has been commended for fully implementing the vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, by being the first Ministry to complete the construction of an Office building and enable its Departments and Units to move to the Government Town of Mtumba, Dodoma.
The commendations were given by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Policy, Parliament and Coordination, Mr. William Lukuvi when he visited the Ministry with the aim of inspecting the construction of Government Buildings which is the implementation of the instructions of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu for the Government to move to Dodoma.
Mr. Lukuvi said that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, despite completing the construction of the building early, should also be commended for being the first to move and be an example in the use of Office furniture produced locally through Forest products.
“You are good ambassadors for the use of our local products derived from our forests, I believe all ministries will follow this example”, said Mr. Lukuvi
He advised the employees of the Ministry to ensure that they take good care of the existing infrastructure and equipment so that they can last as intended.
And the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism Dr. Hassan Abbasi thanked Minister Lukuvi for his visit and promised that the Ministry will effectively implement the instructions he gave, especially on the good management of the use of the existing building and equipment.
