The former Dar es Salaam Regional Administrative Secretary, Dr. Toba Nguvila has officially handed over the office of the Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr. Abdul Rajab Mhinte on July 09,2025 at the Regional Commissioner’s office in Ilala Boma, Dar es Salaam.
Speaking during the handover ceremony attended by the Regional Secretariat, Directors of all five Councils, District Administrative Secretaries and Divisional officers, Dr. Toba Nguvila thanked President Dr. Samia for trusting him and giving him the position of Regional Administrative Secretary and then approving his request to go and start the process of serving the people of Makete Constituency.
He thanked the Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila for the cooperation he had been giving him throughout his tenure and the cooperation he received from all the employees of the Regional Commissioner’s office where he has expressed his wish that the cooperation should continue further with the new Administrative Secretary, Mr. Abdul Mhinte.
Dr. Toba Nguvila said there is a lot to hand over in short he has passed on several areas of work such as the construction of the Regional Commissioner’s office, preparations for the launch of the Kariakoo market and the Dar es Salaam Regional Road Fund.
He mentioned others as the construction of the Kigamboni Regional Secondary School, 24-hour business and quarterly meetings involving public institutions in the Region.
Dr. Toba Nguvila said the handover is normal in the service, he gave his history briefly so changing stations is a normal thing he asks all the staff to continue to pray for him so that he can achieve the desires of his mission to serve the people of Makete Constituency, Njombe Region.
The Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr. Abdul Rajab Mhinte after being handed over the office has promised to continue working hard again in close collaboration with the heads of Departments and Units and all staff to go along with the mission of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
