The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, on July 07, 2025, visited the Ministry of Energy pavilion at the international trade fair known as Sabasaba in Dar es Salaam.
While at the Ministry of Energy pavilion, President Mwinyi was received by the Head of Government Communications, Mrs. Neema Chalila Mbuja, where he briefed her on the implementation steps reached in the implementation of the National Strategy for Clean Cooking Energy, adding that the agenda is the implementation of the resolution of President Dr. Samia as a leader in clean cooking energy.
He said that the Ministry of Energy through the institutions under the Ministry have been actively implementing the agenda to support the efforts of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is a leader in clean cooking energy, to ensure that by 2034, 80% of Tanzanians use clean cooking energy.
The Ministry of Energy has already launched two strategies for clean cooking energy and one for communication to facilitate the implementation of the clean cooking energy agenda in practice.
