Mchengerwa seeks CCM’s consent to contest for Rufiji Parliament.

Rufiji: Minister of State in the President’s Office – Regional State Administration and former Rufiji Member of Parliament, Mr. Mohamed Mchengerwa, on June 30, has come forward to seek consent for his Party – Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) to be elected as the parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the October General Election this year.

Mr. Mchengerwa arrived at the CCM Rufiji District office in Utete Town, approximately 60 kilometers from the Dar es Salaam – Lindi highway, to collect and then be handed a consent form from the CCM Rufiji District Secretary and after completing all the procedures, he returned it.

Mr. Mchengerwa was accompanied by his mother, where after submitting the form he said he had decided to exercise his right to choose and be elected so that he could continue to bring development to the people of Rufiji and then left
