The new Managing Director of TANESCO, Mr. Lazaro Twange has promised to continue the good work done within the Tanzania Electricity Corporation (TANESCO) and has requested the cooperation of the leaders and employees of the Corporation to fulfill the Government’s goal of ensuring that Tanzanians have access to reliable electricity services.
Mr. Twange said this on May 09, 2025 when he officially arrived at the TANESCO offices located in Ubungo, in Dar es Salaam where he was received by the TANESCO Management led by the Deputy Managing Director (Research, Planning and Investment), CPA. Renata
Ndege.
“TANESCO has done great things over the past four years. I congratulate you very much for these efforts, I have come to join you and I am your fellow servant. Citizens rely heavily on the services provided by this Corporation and I am confident that we will work together to continue the good work done and improve various areas so that Tanzanians continue to have access to electricity”, said Mr. Twange.
Speaking on behalf of the Management, the Deputy Executive Director (Research, Planning and Investment), CPA. Renata Ndege welcomed Mr. Twange and briefly explained the various strategies being implemented within the Organization and promised him the cooperation of the Management and all employees to achieve the Organization’s goals.
The Executive Director, Mr. Twange was appointed to the position on May 06 this year by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of the former Executive Director of the Organization, Eng. Gissima Nyamo-Hanga who died in a car accident with his driver on April 13,2025.
