All completed projects should start providing services – Nyamoga

The Standing Committee of the Parliament of Regional Administrations and Local Governments (TAMISEMI) led by its Chairman Mr. Justine Nyamoga has said that all infrastructures that have been completed should start providing the intended service to the people.

It has said that there has been a large wave of projects that have been completed but have not started working, especially in terms of health centers, so the committee directs them to start providing services as soon as possible.

Mr. Nyamoga said this in the summary session of the inspection tour of various health, education and infrastructure projects implemented in Mufindi District Council and Mafinga Town Council in Iringa region.

During the visit, the committee has successfully visited various projects including the improvement of Mafinga Hospital’s infrastructure, which involved the construction of a laundry building, a building to serve patients in need of special attention (ICU) and a maternity complex.

Others are the construction project of mwamkoa-mbagala (0.50km), mdeka-rift valley (0.37km), bravo (0.19km) and melarufu (0.19km) roads at the asphalt level in Mafinga town council.

The committee has also congratulated Halmsahuri of Mufindi for building a health center with a cost of more than Tshs 500,000,000/= where the main source of the money is the local income of the Council.

In addition, the committee has continued to emphasize the installation of street lights in all asphalt road projects that will be implemented by the Village and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) to improve safety and beautify the respective areas.

Deputy Minister office of President TAMISEMI dealing with Education Ms. Zainab Katimba has said that the government has received all the recommendations made by the Standing Committee of Parliament on Regional Administrations and Local Governments and will act on them.
